About Jim Wilkin Trucking LLC

Jim Wilkin Trucking LLC (JWT) was established in 1972. Jim Wilkin started the company with one truck and began building the company starting with trucking services. In 1976, JWT purchased a locally owned redi-mix company. From there, Jim designed and built his own concrete batch plant located in Caliente, NV.  To date, JWT is the only concrete supplier in this part of the county. In the past 30 years, JWT has become a stable and strong business in Lincoln County now jointly owned and operated by Jim Wilkin and his son, Lorin Wilkin. JWT employs 15 to 18 full time employees year round and hires an additional 5 employees during summer months. Jim may have started with just a truck but over the past 50 years, he and Lorin have grown the company to offer trucking, crushing, redi-mix concrete, general contracting, and sand/gravel.

    We have always sought to keep our equipment up to date and consistently meet the demands of our customers. In keeping with that tradition, in 2008, Jim Wilkin Trucking purchased a new top of the line batch plant. The new plant was built two miles southwest of Panaca. This new location is more central for the three communities: Caliente, Panaca and Pioche. The new batch plant is enclosed in a metal building which will ensure many years of future use. In addition to the batch plant, we continually update our semi-trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, loaders and crushing equipment.

      Our Customers consist of local residents, contractors and many state and county agencies. Some of those government agencies include Nevada Department of Transportation, Nevada State Parks, Bureau of Land Management, Lincoln County School District, Lincoln County Power District, and the Lincoln County Road Department. JWT has also worked with many private contractors throughout the state such as, W.W. Clyde Company, VSS International, and Road & Highway Builders. At Jim Wilkin Trucking, we understand the importance of our customers and work around the clock to meet their demands. We work hard to meet our customers needs and have a long list of happy customers to back it up!
