About us

     Jim Wilkin Trucking LLC (JWT) was established in 1972. Jim Wilkin started the company with one truck and began building the company starting with trucking services. In 1976 JWT purchased a locally owned redi-mix company and Jim designed and built his own concrete batch plant which was located in Caliente, NV.  To date JWT is the only concrete supplier in this part of the county. In the past 30 years, JWT has become stable and strong business in Lincoln County. JWT employs 15 to 18 full time employees year round and hiring an additional 10 employees during summer months.

    We have always sought to keep our equipment up to date and to consistently meet the demands of our customers. In keeping with that tradition, in 2008 Jim Wilkin Trucking purchased a new top of the line batch plant. The new plant was built two miles southwest of Panaca. This new location is more central for the three communities, Caliente, Panaca and Pioche. The new batch plant is enclosed in a metal building which will ensure many years of future use. In addition to the batch plant we continually update our semi-trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, loaders and crushing equipment.

      Our Customers consist of local residents, contractors and many state and county agencies. Some of those agencies include NDOT, NV State Parks, BLM, Lincoln County School District, LC Power District, and the LC Road Department. At Jim Wilkin Trucking we understand the importance of our customers. We work hard to meet our customers needs and have a long list of happy customers to back it up! No matter what the job size small or large our commitment is to doing quality work.
